Amitabh Bachchan, the iconic star of Bollywood, has set the entertainment industry abuzz with his latest announcement. The veteran actor has unveiled his next project, Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom thriller drama ‘Section 84’. This film marks the third collaboration between Bachchan and Dasgupta, with their previous works being the Indian television thriller mini-series ‘Yudh’ (2014) and the film ‘Te3n’ (2016).
Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to announce the news, sharing a short video clip that revealed the title of the film and its writer-director. In the caption, the megastar expressed his excitement about working with “distinguished creative minds” on this new venture, and the challenges that the film would bring.

Director Ribhu Dasgupta shared his joy at collaborating with Bachchan once again, while the film’s producers from Reliance Entertainment expressed their honor at having the veteran actor on board. Sameer Chopra, the VP of Marketing for Reliance Entertainment, says, “We are absolutely delighted to start work on Section 84. Mr. Bachchan’s unparalleled superstardom paired with Ribhu’s amazing story telling craft would make Section 84 an incredible watch for audiences worldwide.”
The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios, and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
