Bollywood’s adored actress, Alia Bhatt, is gearing up for her highly anticipated release of the year. Portraying the character of Rani in Karan Johar’s upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, she shares the screen with the powerhouse of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh. The recently released trailer has already captured fans’ hearts, especially due to the undeniable chemistry between the lead pair.

However, what’s truly remarkable is that Alia Bhatt shot a song for the film after her recent pregnancy. Married to Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, she welcomed her daughter Raha Kapoor in November 2022, and the song Tum Kya Mile was filmed in March 2023. Within a span of just five months, the actress returned to work and delivered a stunning performance in the song.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Alia Bhatt engaged with her fans, asking them, “How did you like the trailer? Quick Ask Me Anything.” One curious fan inquired about her experience shooting the song Tum Kya Mile post-pregnancy. In response, the actress shared her personal journey as a new working mother and the physical effects on a woman’s body postpartum.
Alia answered, “This was from the last day of shoot.. I look tired but satisfied! Going back to work as a new mom in any profession will never be easy… you feel various emotions all at once not to mention the major physical difference in ur energy .. but I am very grateful & feel very privileged and supported by a team and crew that was understanding. I feel for new mothers everywhere … especially those who have to resume work immediately Postpartum cause it’s never easy.”
Further, her post also revealed the happenings behind the scene of the song, Alia continued, “Vaibhavi (Merchant) mam would try plan her shots according to my nursing schedule and my mom sister were baby sitting whenever I was away!!! But it was my baby girls first trip to Kashmir and seeing the mountains through her eyes was just everything.”
About Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
The movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is slated to release on 28th July. It also stars legendary actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. This movie not only celebrates Karan Johar’s 25th anniversary as a director but also marks his first time directing Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. But, that’s not it, Ranveer and Alia come on the silver screen again after the 2019 film Gull Boy.
On The Work Front
Apart from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the actress is all set to make her Hollywood debut with the Netflix film Heart Of Stone. The movie stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. It also marks the first time Alia will be playing a negative role. It is set to premiere on Netflix from August 11.
