Air India Express launches Freedom Sale with fares starting from AED 53.50

Residents in Dubai planning a trip to India now have an opportunity to book flights at some of the lowest fares of the year. Air India Express has announced its Freedom Sale, marking India’s 79th Independence Day, and is offering millions of discounted tickets for both domestic and international travel.

The offer features fares starting at AED 53.50 for domestic routes within India and AED 179 for select international flights. The promotion runs for a limited booking window and covers a broad travel period, making it particularly attractive for those looking to plan journeys around upcoming festivals and school holidays.

Booking period and travel dates

The Freedom Sale is open for bookings from 10 to 15 August 2025, with travel dates spanning from 19 August 2025 until 31 March 2026. This means UAE-based travellers can secure lower fares well in advance for high-demand periods such as Onam, Durga Puja, Deepawali, and Christmas.

Seats are available across Air India Express’s various fare classes, catering to passengers with different travel needs — from basic no-frills tickets to more inclusive packages with checked baggage and priority services.

Fares and inclusions

Domestic fares start at AED 53.50, ideal for those planning to explore multiple cities within India. International flights, including popular GCC–India routes, begin at AED 179. The airline’s fare categories include:

  • Xpress Lite: Low-cost fares without check-in baggage
  • Xpress Value: Standard inclusions for everyday travel needs
  • Xpress Biz: Wider seat pitch and added comforts for a more relaxed journey

Passengers can also pre-book add-ons such as hot meals, seat selection, extra baggage, and faster boarding for an additional cost.

Added perks for loyalty members

Members of Air India Express’s loyalty programme stand to benefit further with discounts on premium fares, extra baggage, and onboard services. This could make a noticeable difference for regular flyers between the UAE and India, especially during peak travel seasons.

Strong UAE–India connectivity

Air India Express operates a dense network of flights between the UAE and India, connecting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah with key destinations across the subcontinent. The Freedom Sale is expected to draw significant interest from the UAE’s Indian expatriate community, many of whom travel home frequently for family visits and cultural celebrations.

How to book

You can book tickets through the airline’s official website, mobile app, or authorised travel agents. The airline is offering five million seats, and availability varies by route and date, so book early to secure the best fares.
