Air India Express Boosts Baggage Allowances and Launches Flexible Fare Options

Flexible fares and increased allowances for travelers

Air India Express has revamped its baggage policy, offering passengers a more generous check-in allowance. Travelers on international routes between India, the Middle East, and Singapore can now carry 30 kg of free check-in baggage. This includes an additional 7 kg cabin baggage allowance, providing ample space for all travel essentials.

Special Provisions for Families Traveling with Infants

Parents traveling with infants now enjoy a total baggage allowance of 47 kg, including a 10 kg check-in allowance for infant needs. This thoughtful addition ensures families can pack comfortably without extra costs.

Premium Benefits for Business Class Flyers

Air India Express’ business-class service, Xpress Biz, is designed for comfort and convenience. Passengers benefit from a higher baggage allowance of 40 kg, recliner seats with extra legroom, priority check-in, boarding services, and freshly prepared hot meals. These enhancements cater to travelers seeking a premium flying experience.

Budget-Friendly Option for Light Travelers

Catering to passengers who travel light, the airline has introduced Xpress Lite fares. These cost-effective options include a complimentary cabin baggage allowance of up to 10 kg, perfect for short trips or minimalists. Additional check-in baggage can be pre-booked at discounted rates if needed.

Additional Baggage Flexibility and Services

For passengers needing extra flexibility, Air India Express offers discounted pre-booking for additional check-in baggage. Travelers can also bring musical instruments as cabin baggage, provided they meet size requirements. You can check in larger instruments or carry them on a purchased seat for added convenience.

Expanding Network and Fleet Growth

Air India Express is rapidly growing its operations, now offering over 400 daily flights across 50 destinations. New routes to Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, as well as expanded services to Middle Eastern hubs like Abu Dhabi and Muscat, highlight the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity. With its fleet expected to reach 100 aircraft this year, the airline continues to strengthen its presence globally.

These updates reflect Air India Express’ dedication to meeting diverse traveler needs. Whether traveling with family, on business, or for leisure, passengers now have more options to make their journeys seamless and enjoyable.
