Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel issues an update about its opening

Ain Dubai, the largest observation wheel has remained shut for a while now. However, a recent update on its website reveals that the observation wheel will remain closed until further notice. Ain Dubai first announced closure in March 2022, during Ramadan. The closure then extended into Q1 2023. As of April 2023, it stands that the attraction will remain shut until further notice.

The update on Ain Dubai’s website read:

“Ain Dubai remains closed until further notice as we continue to rigorously work on completing the enhancement works that have been taking place over the past months. Once a reopening date is set, a further announcement will be made. In line with our commitment to offering guests an experience unlike any other, we look forward to introducing new and exciting offers when we re-open Ain Dubai for visitors to enjoy from across the globe.

One of Dubai’s most-loved attractions, Ain Dubai opened doors to the public in October 2021. Ain Dubai lets you discover awe-inspiring Dubai experiences from 250m in the sky from 48 cabins, offering a 360-degree view of the city. With twice the height of the London Eye, and 82 metres higher than the High Roller in Las Vegas, Ain Dubai welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the globe, in just six months. Well, we truly can’t wait for this one to open.

Meanwhile, if you’re scouting for other new attractions in the city, how about going on a balloon ride over the Palm?

The Dubai Balloon, a one-of-a-kind flight experience is located at Poseidon’s Watchtower in Atlantis Aquadventure. The balloon will take you up to 300m into the air, providing unrivaled views of the entire city. Riders are propelled into the air for the duration of the 10-minute experience, and on a clear day they can see for miles to the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, and other distant landmarks.

The ride is suitable for people of all ages, and children under three ride free. Regular passes cost AED 175 for adults and AED 75 for kids. The Dubai Balloon lounge also offers a fast pass ticket for expedited boarding and a free beverage for AED 275 for adults and AED 175 for kids. More deets here.
