For decades, the Three Khans – Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan have been the undisputed rulers of Bollywood. While fans have been dying to see them together on the big screen, one burning question always lingers: Can Bollywood even afford to bring all three superstars together in a single film? And let’s be honest, the rumour mills have always churned out juicy gossip about their supposed cold wars and behind-the-scenes drama. But now, Aamir Khan himself has finally broken his silence and revealed what really went down between the Bollywood Trinity!
The Khan Wars Were Real? Aamir Khan Reveals
In a candid chat with Just Too Filmy, Aamir was asked the million-dollar question: Was there ever an actual rivalry between him, Shah Rukh, and Salman? His answer? A big, fat YES!
“Of course, there was… What are you even asking?” Aamir quipped. Each of us wanted to outpace the other two. Isn’t that what you call rivalry? So, that was there”. Well, there you have it – straight from the Perfectionist himself.
He even admitted that their fights weren’t just whispers in the industry. He shared, “I think many of them have been well reported in media as well. It’s not like I am saying something new here. There have been disagreements. But these things happen between friends, right? Be it in any relationship, there will be disagreements too along with the friendship.”
The Khan Brotherhood Is Stronger Than Ever!
But here’s the best part – that era of rivalry is long gone. Aamir shared that after 35 long years in the industry together, the bond between him, SRK, and Salman has only grown stronger.
“It’s been 35 years since we got together. We were born in the same year, 1965, and made our debuts also more or less around the same time. Now, that rivalry is no longer there. I don’t think Shah Rukh, Salman or I even look at it that way now. Having journeyed together for 35 years, there is a sense of warmth and friendship between us, which has become more pronounced now than ever. We are much more comfortable with each other now,” he shared.
Well, it looks like the cold wars have melted into warm brotherhood.
The Viral Ambani Wedding Skit – Aamir’s Last-Minute Addition!
If you thought their recent camaraderie was just for the cameras, think again! Aamir recalled how he ended up performing spontaneously with SRK and Salman at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash.
Apparently, SRK and Salman had planned an entry, but Mukesh Ambani himself called Aamir, saying, “It would be nice if you joined too.” And guess what? Aamir jumped in without a second thought!
He shared, “So, we (the three Khans) sat down together for about half an hour and prepared that skit that you guys saw. But the comfort with which we were saying yes and no to each other during the preps made me realise that we were in a comfortable place now. We were able to exchange ideas in a free manner.”
And here’s the biggest revelation – after the performance, Aamir told the other two Khans, “Once the rehearsal was over, I told them: ‘Now, the three of us can do a film together.’ They also agreed. Having been together for so long, I think the audience would also love to see us together in a film.
A Three-Khan Film? Could It Actually Happen?
With their reunion tour in full swing – whether it’s Ira Khan’s wedding or their recent Loveyatri screening appearance – it’s clear that the Khans are back on great terms.
But the real question remains – will we finally see SRK, Salman, and Aamir Khan in a film together? If their Ambani skit was anything to go by, then manifesting mode: ON!
