A Guinness World Record attempt yoga class is happening at Zabeel Park this weekend. Wondering what the word record is for? Read on to find out.
From the world’s tallest building to the world’s largest inflatable bouncy castle and the world’s longest zipline, Dubai boasts many Guinness World Record titles. And now, there’s going to be a new addition to this list. A massive Guinness World Record attempt yoga class is happening at Zabeel Park on Saturday, 13 May. Wondering what the record is being attempted for? Well, this one’s for the largest number of nationalities participating in an international yoga event. Heard that? So, gather your crew and get going.

The current record, set by Qatar, is for 144 people. Registration starts at 4.30pm, and the yoga class will kick off at 6.30pm. Now, coming to the best part- the event, held by Dubai Sports Council is FREE to attend for all age groups. Besides, you’ll also be given a FREE yoga mat once you arrive.
Allanoua Gaham will lead the one-hour class, and at least 1000 yogis are expected to will practice at the public park. The Dubai Sports Council has made plans for over 3,000 people to attend the event.

Once the yoga class is over, it will be announced whether or not the record has been broken. In addition, there will also be live entertainment with several artists including Juampi Pellicer from The Voice Argentina creating their magic. A number of global influencers will also attend the event. Sudanese model Esra, Indian-Pakistani content creator Issa, and Adam Eddine of Virgin Radio’s The Chosen One will perform at the event.
