Season Extended Due to High Demand
Dubai’s iconic Global Village, known for its blend of cultural pavilions, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions, has announced an extension of its Season 29. Originally set to end on May 11, the popular destination will now remain open until May 18, 2025.
The extension comes following an overwhelming response from visitors on the original closing day. Thousands flocked to Global Village on Sunday, May 11, to enjoy the final day, prompting the management to grant visitors another week. The announcement was made at 9 pm via the official Global Village social media channels.
“You asked and we delivered! 7 extra days of A More Wonderful World. Season 29 is now extended until 18 May,” read the post.
Extended Opening Hours for the Final Week
To accommodate the expected surge of visitors during the extended period, Global Village has also updated its operating hours. Throughout the final week, the attraction will be open daily from 4 pm to 1 am, offering longer evening access compared to its usual weekday schedule.
Typically, Global Village operates from 4 pm to 12 am from Sunday to Wednesday and 4 pm to 1 am from Thursday to Saturday. However, for the last week of Season 29, visitors will be able to enjoy extended hours every night, maximizing their time to explore the diverse offerings.
Special Promotions and Offers
During the original closing weekend, Global Village introduced special promotions, including free entry for children under 12 and unlimited Carnaval rides for just AED 50. While the latest announcement does not confirm whether these deals will be available during the extended week, similar promotions in previous years have often carried over when the season was prolonged.
Global Village representatives will soon share more details regarding promotions and offers, and they urge visitors to check their social media channels for updates.
Massive Turnout on Original Closing Day
On May 11, visitors packed the venue to catch the final day of Season 29. Families and tourists from across the UAE gathered to experience the multicultural pavilions, sample global cuisines, and witness live shows and cultural performances. Many also took advantage of the last-minute deals at various country pavilions, which feature authentic crafts, souvenirs, and traditional dishes.
The immense turnout is a testament to Global Village’s enduring popularity since it first opened in 1997. From humble beginnings with a few retail kiosks, it has transformed into one of Dubai’s leading seasonal outdoor attractions, celebrating over 90 cultures through more than 30 pavilions and hosting over 175 rides and games.
A Celebration of Culture and Entertainment
Season 29 of Global Village, which began on October 16, 2024, has continued the tradition of offering a melting pot of cultures, food, and family-friendly activities. The extension is a welcomed opportunity for residents and tourists alike to experience the final days of this diverse cultural celebration.
In past seasons, Global Village has often extended its closing date to accommodate demand. This year, with more visitors flocking to the venue than ever, the additional week reflects the destination’s commitment to providing memorable experiences for all.
Looking Ahead
Global Village has not officially confirmed whether the “Kids Go Free” offer and unlimited ride package will continue for the extended week, but it encourages visitors to stay updated through its official social media pages.
As the season draws to a close on May 18, Global Village remains a top choice for families seeking a vibrant cultural escape within Dubai. Whether it’s enjoying the exhilarating Carnaval rides, exploring global crafts, or tasting international delicacies, the extra week promises to be an unforgettable conclusion to Season 29.
