LEGOLAND Dubai Unveils ‘Build the Thrill’ – A New Racing Adventure for Kids This Season

The family-friendly event lets young racers build, race, and celebrate in a high-speed LEGO world until May 31, 2025.

LEGOLAND Dubai has introduced a brand-new family attraction for the season — Build the Thrill — a hands-on racing experience designed especially for kids. The event, which runs from April 5 to May 31, 2025, transforms the theme park into a racing wonderland filled with interactive activities, team competitions, and themed entertainment. It’s the perfect day out for families looking for fun and something a little different this spring.

A Fresh Way for Families to Spend Quality Time

Build the Thrill offers the ideal solution for parents searching for exciting, indoor-friendly activities during Dubai’s warmer months. The event combines physical play with creative challenges, all centered around the fun of racing and building LEGO cars. With plenty of interactive zones and experiences, children stay active, social, and engaged in a safe, controlled environment.

Start the Race with a Pit Pass

Once inside LEGOLAND Dubai, young visitors receive their official Pit Pass, which assigns them to either Team Red or Team Blue. This small but fun element introduces friendly competition and sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Build, Race, and Learn at the Driver’s Academy

At the heart of the event is the Driver’s Academy, located in LEGO® City. Here, kids can build their own LEGO race cars, test them on race tracks, and modify their creations to improve speed and design. This zone encourages creativity, teamwork, and basic engineering skills in a way that feels more like play than learning.

Enjoy a High-Energy Pit Party

The excitement doesn’t stop at the track. At the Pit Party Arena, Team Red and Team Blue face off in dance-offs, races, and cheering competitions. With lively music and a family-friendly vibe, this area brings people together in celebration, creating memorable moments for kids and parents alike.

Celebrate at the Winners’ Podium

No race day is complete without a podium. Kids can pose with trophies, LEGO helmets, and themed props for fun photos at the Grand Podium, regardless of who wins. The atmosphere is inclusive, ensuring every child gets their moment of recognition.

Explore MINILAND and Join the Scavenger Hunt

The racing fun continues at MINILAND, where a special scavenger hunt has been added for the event. Families can explore miniature LEGO replicas of famous landmarks while looking for hidden race cars and clues — a fun and educational way to spend time together.

Fuel Up with Race-Themed Snacks

Families can take a break and enjoy unique, race-inspired treats like the “Tyre Doughnut” and the “Circuit Shake.” These themed snacks are available across the park and are a fun way to refuel during the day’s activities.

Exclusive LEGO Sets Available

For those who want to take a piece of the experience home, LEGOLAND is offering exclusive Formula 1® LEGO® sets, including Technic™ and Speed Champions models. Visitors can purchase two sets for AED 169 or collect the full bundle of ten sets for AED 839.

Stay Overnight at LEGOLAND Hotel

Families who want to extend the adventure can book a stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel, just steps away from the theme park. The hotel offers race-themed dining, a nightly Grand Prix After-Party, and a Creative Workshop hosted by Master Model Builders. This makes it a full LEGO experience from day to night.
