Yas Island Gets A New Chief Island Officer, Jason Momoa Joins The Squad

Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island gets a new Chief Island Officer. Comedian Kevin Hart concluded his run in the role earlier this year, and now Aquaman star Jason Momoa has been announced as the new custodian of Yas Island. Yas Island took to social media to announce Kevin Hart’s farewell and introduced the new ambassador. Jason Momoa resumed the role after Kevin Hart announced he was stepping down earlier this year. On April 25th, Yas Island revealed the new Chief Island Officer on Instagram, and in the trailer, Jason Mamoa can be seen having a lot of fun. He is living life at Yas Island and says, “I am gonna love this job.” From paddle boarding across Yas Marina to experiencing thrills at Yas Island and racing at Yas Marina Circuit, Jason Mamoa is having the time of his life in the trailer.

Just like Hart, Mamoa will also be seen promoting the island with exciting new offers and spins. We can’t wait to see what else he gets up to in the role.

Speaking about the appointment of the new officer, Liam Findlay, chief executive of Miral Destinations, said, “As Yas Island Abu Dhabi continues to entertain guests with best-in-class experiences and with offerings that resonate with visitors from all over the world, we look forward to raising the bar even higher in the days to come with Jason Momoa as the island’s newest officer.”

Being the ultimate family-friendly destination in the UAE, Yas Island is home to Ferrari World, Warner Bros World, Yas Waterworld and the much-anticipated SeaWorld.

SeaWorld is set to open on May 23rd and become the region’s first Marine Life Theme Park, featuring eight immersive realms with over 15 interactive experiences and rides, over 100 animal experiences and presentations, including up-close animal encounters. Furthermore, it will have more than 20 live characters and performances, 17 dining options, 13 retail outlets and roaming entertainment across each realm.
