Its bacckkk!!! The countdown for the Dubai Food Festival has started, as the massive fest is set to kick off this week. Starting 21 April until 7 May 2023, foodies can go on a delicious food journey, savouring the best Dubai has to offer from the culinary world. Well, that means you got to forget your diet and get ready for a mighty binge. And, with this year marking the 10th anniversary, foodies can expect a whole lot of events and activities, celebrating home-grown concepts, as well as Emirati and international cuisine.

While there’ll be a tons of things to hog on, one you don’t want to miss is Etisalat Beach Canteen. The quirky Beach Canteen will run for 17 days until Sunday, May 7, from 4pm to midnight at Jumeirah Beach. Bonus- it’s free to attend, so there’s no way you can skip this.

Every year, the beach canteen has an unparalleled vibe, but this time being the fest’s 10th anniversary, there’s a lot more in store. Guests can enjoy a fantastic lineup of various dining options, live performances, and activities offered by the neighborhood to keep the family occupied for hours.

This year’s fest features a farm-to-table concept from Bahr. Guests can dine on fresh farm produce, served in a range of artistic, international dishes. Besides, Bahr follows a zero-waste policy which means you’ll learn all about sustainability while you eat you way out. On that note, you need to be prepared to eat without plastic at the beach canteen. In line with the UAE’s Year Of Sustainability, plastic straws and disposables have all been replaced with reusable alternatives.

The Etisalat Beach Canteen is sure to impress foodies and fans alike, being inspired by nostalgic beachside scenes and vibrant pop-art colors. Visitors can stroll down Memory Lane and observe how the city’s culinary scene has changed over time as they commemorate 10 years of Beach Canteen and the Dubai Food Festival.

Expect more than 50 different food concepts, such as Food Plaza, which serves meals in repurposed containers, and Food Truck Paradise, which offers a variety of delectable dishes, from burgers to Asian. There is even a mocktail bar that goes well with the beachy atmosphere. You can find something to fill your stomach at The Snack Stop if you need a quick bite.

You’ll be able to check all the boxes, whether you want to indulge your inner foodie, put your toes in the sand while watching concerts, or exhaust your children in the Splash Zone and Kids Aventure Island.

Making its debut this year, eateries across the city will be offering specially curated AED 10 dishes.
