Applying for the service is straightforward. UAE residents need to provide five essential documents:
- A colored personal photo
- A copy of their passport
- A signed request from the sponsor to amend the data
- Copies of both the front and back of the Emirates ID card
The application fee for this service is Dh200, covering smart services, application charges, and federal authority fees. It’s essential to ensure that all documents and data are complete, as incomplete applications will be rejected after 30 days. Similarly, applications returned three times due to similar reasons will face rejection. In such cases, the refund will only include issuance fees and any applicable financial guarantees.

Additionally, refunds can be redeemed through checks or bank transfers, but only for banks within the country, within a five-year period.
