Popular sharjah pop-up ‘Not a space’ is now open in dubai’s Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Dubai’s Souk Madinat is home to a host of shops and restaurants. And, now there’s a new addition to this list- right in time for Ramadan. UAE’s favourite pop-up Not A Space has moved from Sharjah to Dubai, and opened ‘Not A Majlis’ inside the souk. After the massive success in Al Faya, the pop-up has now re-named itself as Not A Majlis in Souk Madinat Jumeirah. The new re-branded concept is done specifically for Ramadan, so if you’re looking for old-school majlis to visit, this one’s well worth a trip!

here’s all that you’ll find inside

Located at Fort Island, Not A Majlis boasts provides views of the lush lakes, Arabian-inspired souk and iconic Burj Al Arab- a spot that will be loved by Instagrammers. And, when you’re strolling around the gorgeous place, don’t forget to top by for a re-fuel. You can sip on coffees to hot chocolates, and hog on a variety of eats from burgers to pasta. Plus, there are shopping stalls selling clothes, jewellery and more.

Besides, the majlis also has a little something for every member in the family, so there’s no way one would get bored. The kid-friendly features include board games, video games, and both contemporary and classic games. You can indulge your competitive side because we’re talking about PlayStations with multiple controllers. Additionally, there’s also bean bags for lounging and illuminated decorations, including lit-up walls and a moon decorated with fairies. Perfect to sit back, and while away time.

The centre stage hosts live entertainment and if that doesn’t bother you much, head to watch the traditional Ramadan cannon, which gets fired at sunset to mark the end of the day’s fast.

If you want to visit Not A Majlis, it’s only open for a short time. The pop-up is open daily from 6.30pm to 3am, and runs until the end of Ramadan. So, hurry!
