Unity at the Embassy: Flag Hoisting Ceremony in Abu Dhabi

In a symbolic display of national pride, a flag-hoisting ceremony took place at the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. Distinguished by the presence of a large number of Pakistani community members and their families, the event resonated with messages of unity and progress from Pakistani leadership. Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, extended his warm congratulations to attendees and urged them to actively contribute to Pakistan’s growth and development.

Recognizing the significant role of the Pakistani Expats community in the UAE, Ambassador Tirmizi lauded their contributions to the development of both countries. He emphasized the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, accentuating the mutual commitment to enhancing ties.

Skardu’s Maiden Flight: Exploring Pakistan’s Beauty

A historic moment occurred as the first international flight to Skardu took off from Dubai on Pakistan’s Independence Day. The Ambassador encouraged both Pakistani expats and Emiratis to explore the breathtaking beauty of Skardu and experience the unique offerings of Pakistan.

Dubai’s Consulate Celebrates: Flag Hoisting and Commemorative Moments

Meanwhile, in Dubai, the Consulate General of Pakistan held its own flag-hoisting ceremony. Rahimullah Wazir, Acting Consul General of Pakistan to Dubai, raised the Pakistani flag as the National Anthem resounded, and messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were shared.

Acting Consul General Wazir paid homage to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding fathers and highlighted the profound historical significance of August 14, 1947. He commended the Pakistani Expats community in the UAE for their instrumental role in the progress of both nations and assured them of unwavering support from the Consulate General.

Furthermore, Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) marked the occasion with a unique twist, aligning their celebrations with the theme of ‘Green Pakistan.’ This endeavor aimed to raise awareness about climate change and sustainability while honoring Pakistan’s Independence Day. PAD President Dr. Faisel Ikram expressed gratitude to the UAE authorities for allowing them to foster a sense of unity within their community.

Environmental Commitment: Tree Plantation Drive in UAE and Pakistan

In a demonstration of commitment to environmental preservation, PAD announced plans for a tree plantation drive in both the UAE and Pakistan. Collaborating with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and other organizations, PAD aims to plant thousands of trees, reflecting the unity and determination that define the Pakistani expat community in the UAE.
