Dubai Sports Council (DSC) is gearing up to host the eagerly anticipated 2nd edition of the Mountain Bike Race, a one-of-a-kind event, set to take place on October 15, 2023, at the scenic mountain bike track nestled in Mushrif Park – Al-Khawaneej.
In partnership with Dubai Municipality, the race promises an exhilarating experience as riders navigate through a lush forest comprising an astonishing 70 thousand trees.

Categories for All:
The Mountain Bike Race caters to a diverse range of participants, offering three categories for both men and women:
- Community Category: A challenging 18 km route.
- Amateurs’ Category: A more demanding 37 km course.
- Professionals’ Category: The ultimate test covering an impressive 56 km.
Past Success and Prizes:
The inaugural edition of the Mountain Bike Race held last year saw tremendous success, with 350 riders from various age groups and nationalities competing passionately. The Emiratis Khalifa Al-Kaabi and Marwa Al-Haj secured victory in the men’s and women’s amateur categories (37 km), respectively.
Winners in each category will be awarded valuable prizes, adding an extra incentive for participants to give their best performance.
Thrilling Mountain Bike Track:
The heart of the excitement lies in the meticulously designed mountain bike track that promises suspense and adrenaline. Participants will encounter challenging climbs, thrilling curves, and exciting jumps, all while weaving their way through the forest. The track spans an impressive 50 km in total and is divided into three segments:
- Blue & Green Tracks: A combined length of 20 km.
- Blue Track: Extending over 30 km.
All tracks adhere to the highest international standards and specifications, ensuring a world-class racing experience for all.
Cycling Thrills in Dubai:
Dubai Sports Council’s annual sports calendar boasts a range of cycling events that are gaining popularity as both entertainment and competitive sports. Notable among these is the Hero Dubai Hatta, one of the three rounds of the Hero International Mountain Bike Race series. This competition holds a prestigious place in the International Cycling Union’s agenda and attracts elite world champions in mountain cycling.
