Dubai To Sharjah Ferry To Start From August 4th, Here’s Everything To Know

Do you travel between Dubai and Sharjah daily for work or just over the weekends? Are you done with the traffic? If yes, then we have great news for you. RTA has announced the relaunch of the marine transportation line via Dubai Ferry between Dubai and Sharjah. Yep, you read that right! Dubai-Sharjah Ferry service resumes on August 4th; here’s everything you must know.

Dubai-Sharjah Ferry Service Is Priced At AED15 For Single Journey

Dubai-Sharjah Ferry service will start Friday, August 4th, 2023. The service will run eight journeys a day from Monday-Thursday (weekdays) and six journeys from Friday-Sunday (weekends). The first-of-its-kind ferry service connecting Dubai and Sharjah shuttles between Al Ghubaiba Marine Station in Dubai and Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah, in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah.

The ferry service only eases traffic intensity and offers additional mobility choices between the two emirates. For pricing, the tickets cost AED15 single journey for the Silver Class and AED25 single journey for the Gold Class. It will be free of charge for People of Determination and children under five. You can pay the fare at the Customers Services Desk at the Station, use nol card, or buy tickets online through (https://marine.rta.ae).

The journey time is around 35 minutes, and there will be two-morning journeys from Sharjah at 7 AM and 8:30 AM and one morning journey from Dubai at 7:45 AM. In the evening, there will be two journeys from Sharjah at 4:45 PM and 6:15 PM and from Dubai at 4 PM, 5:30 PM and 7 PM.

From Friday to Sunday, there will be six journeys, three journeys from each side starting from noon. Departure times from Sharjah will be at 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM, whereas the journeys from Dubai will start at 3 PM, 5 PM and 8 PM.

So mark these dates and calendars and enjoy the ferry ride between Dubai and Sharjah.
