And now, both these emirates have made it to the list of prettiest cities in the world at night. In fact, Dubai has bagged the first spot on the list, and Abu Dhabi has secured the ninth spot on the list. Dubai Bags The First Spot On The World’s Prettiest Cities At Night List
Travelbag studied Instagram and analysed the posts, and light and noise pollution data to make the final list. With nearly 26,000 posts with the tag ‘dubaiatnight’, Dubai was named the prettiest city at night, followed by Tokyo, Singapore, Muscat and Oman.
Japan’s two other cities- Kyoto and Hiroshima, made it to the top 10 prettiest cities list, while Australia’s Sydney grabbed the eighth spot, followed by Abu Dhabi and Taipei. Around 146 cities were analysed, from which the top 10 cities made it to the list of the world’s prettiest cities.
As per the study, Dubai received a 52.8 rating out of 100 for light and noise pollution, whereas Abu Dhabi rated 48.2 out of 100. For safety levels, Dubai scored 83.1 on a safety measure of 100, and Abu Dhabi scored 84.6 out of 100. With glistening skyscrapers, iconic attractions, and lights, without a doubt- Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the prettiest cities at night.

Besides being named as prettiest cities at night, Dubai & Abu Dhabi were also named as the world’s safest cities. Numbeo is a global provider of data and is the world’s largest cost-of-living database. As per the report, Abu Dhabi has topped the list, followed by Ajman on the second post.
Abu Dhabi Tops The List Of World’s Safest Cities
When it comes to the safest cities in the world, Abu Dhabi managed top the list with 88 per cent safety index, Ajman came second on the list with 87.5 per cent safety index, Qatar’s Doha bagged the third spot with 86 per cent safety index, Taiwan’s Taipei came fourth with 85.1 per cent safety index and Dubai round the top five list with 83.7 per cent safety index.
Abu Dhabi has been topping the world’s safest cities list since 2022, and Muscat became the only other city across the region to be featured in the top 10 with a 79 per cent safety index. Numbeo releases the data and ranking of the world’s safest cities on a yearly and half-yearly basis on a number of topics, including quality of life, crime, healthcare, pollution and traffic.
Over 335 cities have made it to the world’s safest cities list, and Caracas in Venezuela, Pretoria in South Africa and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, are named the least safest cities in the world. Several cities in South Africa and Brazil have scored low, and United States and Australian cities have also achieved a low number.
