Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma find an unconventional way to avoid Mumbai traffic

Although Mumbai traffic can be a major source of frustration for both the common person and Bollywood’s elite, there are ways to outsmart the gridlock. While it’s natural to assume that our beloved stars would never abandon their opulent rides, some have pleasantly surprised us by proving that they’re not immune to the traffic blues and have discovered nifty shortcuts to speed up their commutes.

Amitabh Bachchan recently hopped on to Instagram and regaled his followers with a tale of his unconventional mode of transportation. The megastar revealed that he had hitched a ride on the back of a kind stranger’s motorbike to make it to his work location on time, circumventing the notorious traffic. “Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner,” he effusively expressed his gratitude in the caption. His amusing anecdote left netizens chuckling and shaking their heads in disbelief at the legendary actor’s down-to-earth ways.

Now after Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s leading lady Anushka Sharma was recently captured by the paparazzi as she was also spotted on a bike as a pillion rider to get to work. The cameras caught the actress zooming down the streets with her trusty bodyguard. It is said that a tree had toppled over on the route Anushka had planned to take, leading her to abandon her four-wheeled ride and instead opt for a two-wheeled one to ensure that she made it to her destination promptly.
