OMG 2 to release unfiltered in UAE and Oman
On a brighter note, recent reports suggest that the UAE and Oman residents are going to be more lucky than the Indian residents. You ask why? OMG 2 has successfully garnered a 12+ certification, with no cuts, for its audiences in UAE and Oman.
The Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Ajit Andhare, shared this delightful news with Hindustan Times. He joyfully revealed, “Happy to share that censor authorities in Oman have cleared our film OMG 2 in the 12+ category without any cuts. The film has also been cleared for exhibition by the censor authority in the UAE, while Quebec, Canada has cleared it in the General category without cuts.” Meanwhile, back in India, the film has secured an ‘Adults Only’ rating.
Diving into the storyline of the movie, the narrative revolves around the crucial topic of promoting sex education among adolescents in India, shedding light on the prevailing lack of awareness. Pankaj Tripathi essays the role of a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, while Akshay Kumar takes on the role of the Lord’s messenger. With a compelling courtroom drama woven into the storyline, the film is also set to cast a spotlight on the Indian education system.
Directed by the talented Amit Rai, OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil and Yami Gautam. Prepare yourselves, because the wait is almost over! The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on 11 August 2023.
