Mövenpick UAE Hotels to Serve Free Ice Cream to Kids on May 23

Children can enjoy complimentary Mövenpick ice cream and sorbet for two hours across participating UAE hotels this Friday.

Dubai’s rising summer temperatures just got a little sweeter. Families across the UAE can treat their little ones to free ice cream this Friday, May 23, as Mövenpick hotels launch a one-day giveaway for children across 11 participating properties in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

The family-friendly activation will run from 10 am to 12 pm, giving children complimentary scoops of Mövenpick ice cream and sorbet in specially arranged serving stations at selected hotels.

The campaign is part of the brand’s latest “Mövenpick Moments” initiative, designed to create simple experiences that bring families together through food and shared memories.

Dubai summers are known for indoor family outings, mall visits, and quick escapes from the heat. This latest initiative from Mövenpick arrives at the perfect time, especially for parents looking for simple weekend activities that don’t involve expensive plans or long drives.

The offer is exclusively for children and will be available at open stations across participating hotels. A sorbet option will also be served, ensuring children with different preferences can still enjoy the experience.

The activation reflects a growing trend among UAE hospitality brands to focus on community-led experiences and family engagement during the warmer months.

Free ice cream will be available at 11 UAE hotels

Families can visit the following participating Mövenpick hotels on Friday morning:

  • Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach

Ras Al Khaimah property

According to the hotel group, the stations will be easy to locate and designed to create an interactive atmosphere for families and children.

The activation is expected to attract residents staying in the city over the weekend, particularly families searching for affordable indoor-friendly activities during the early summer heat.

A summer treat that taps into nostalgia

Mövenpick ice cream has built a loyal following over the years, especially among UAE residents familiar with the brand’s rich Swiss-style flavours. First introduced in 1968, the ice cream became one of the hospitality group’s most recognisable offerings worldwide.

Known for its creamy texture and premium ingredients, the dessert has remained a staple across many of the brand’s hotels and restaurants.

In the UAE, where family brunches, staycations, and café culture continue to play a major role in social life, food-driven activations like this often resonate strongly with residents.

The timing also aligns with schools nearing the summer break, making it an easy outing for parents with younger children.

Mövenpick says the campaign is about shared moments

Speaking about the initiative, Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer for Accor Premium, Midscale and Economy across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Asia Pacific, explained that the campaign focuses on creating simple but memorable experiences.

According to Healy, the idea behind “Mövenpick Moments” is to encourage connection through small shared experiences rather than large-scale events.

The hospitality group added that food continues to remain central to the Mövenpick brand identity, especially experiences that bring people together in relaxed and welcoming spaces.

Across Dubai, many hotels and hospitality brands have recently introduced family-focused campaigns as residents increasingly look for budget-friendly activities during weekends and holidays.

Families in Dubai are always looking for easy weekend plans

Free community-driven events continue to perform well across Dubai and the wider UAE, particularly when they are accessible and family-oriented.

Parents often look for activities that are simple, indoor-friendly, and suitable for younger children without requiring advance bookings or expensive tickets.

This is especially true during late May and June, when outdoor temperatures begin climbing rapidly across the Emirates.

With the giveaway scheduled for the morning hours, families can comfortably plan a quick outing before the midday heat intensifies.

For many parents, it is less about the free dessert and more about creating a small family moment during the busy school and work week.

The Mövenpick free ice cream UAE activation offers families a simple reason to step out and enjoy a sweet morning together this Friday. With participating hotels spread across Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, the initiative is expected to draw plenty of parents and children looking for an easy weekend treat.

The offer runs on May 23 from 10am to 12pm and is available for children only while supplies last.
