Expo City Dubai is one of the iconic landmarks in Dubai, and if you love visiting this spot in the city, you have to head there on Friday, May 19. Why do you ask? Well, to celebrate International Museum Day, Expo City Dubai is offering free entry to its flagship pavilions for one day. It means that just for one day, the pavilions will be open for everyone with no entrance fees; read on for all the deets.

Visitors will get free entry to Alif-the Mobility Pavilion, Terra-the Sustainability Pavilion, The Women’s and Vision Pavilions and the three Stories of Nations Pavilions. Besides this, keeping the theme of International Museum Day in mind- Museums, Sustainability, and Well-being, the attraction will host curated educational programmes and a treasure hunt.
Pavilions Open Daily From 10 AM to 6 PM, Make The Most Of The Free Day On Friday, May 19
The pavilions are open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, so make the most of it, while entry is free on May 19. For activities, Terra will screen climate-focused films in collaboration with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, and host informative tours, storytelling sessions, physical theatre workshops and a ‘tinker table’ for play-based learning. Visitors of all ages can partake in several craft activities at the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and young minds can build robot hands in a Lego workshop and learn about motors, sensors, and the basic principles of engineering at Alif.

International Museum Day was established by the International Council of Museums in 1977, and every year, we celebrate this day with a different theme. Since 2020, it has focused on the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the role of museums in shaping shape sustainable futures through educational programmes, exhibitions, community outreach and research.
