Bollywood’s heartthrob and the nation’s current crush, Vicky Kaushal, is making us all go “Tauba Tauba” with his viral dance moves. But behind all that glitz and glamour, Vicky has some wild stories to share. His latest tale is a real jaw-dropper.
Vicky Kaushal’s Run-In with the Sand Mafia
In a recent chat with Tanmay Bhat on YouTube, Vicky took us back to his days as an assistant director on the set of Gangs of Wasseypur. Picture this: Vicky, almost beaten up by a sand mafia! Yeah, you read that right. He revealed that during the filming, he encountered nearly 500 goons ready to pummel him.
“The coal smuggling scenes in the film were the real deal. We shot everything as it was happening. One day, we went to get footage of illegal sand mining. I was shocked because it looked so legit, like a well-oiled business operation with 500 trucks lined up,” Vicky shared.
As they were secretly filming, things took a turn for the worse. “We were surrounded by 500 people. The camera attendant called the unit, but the locals thought he was calling someone powerful. They slapped him, snatched the camera, and threatened to break it. Both of us were inches away from a severe beating. We somehow managed to escape with our lives intact,” Vicky recounted, leaving us all on the edge of our seats.
