Motorists across the UAE experienced challenging driving conditions this morning as dense fog covered several areas, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, and Sharjah. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued red and yellow alerts, warning of poor visibility that lasted until 9 a.m. today.
Drive Safely During Dense Fog
Authorities have implemented safety measures to protect motorists. Abu Dhabi Police reduced speed limits to 80 km/h on key roads, emphasizing adherence to the safety of all road users. Regions like Madinat Zayed, Sweihan, and other parts of Abu Dhabi were most affected by the fog.
The NCM advised drivers to avoid sudden lane changes, keep their headlights on low beam, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
