This Diwali, Bollywood’s about to get hotter than ever, and it’s not just the festive firecrackers! Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 gearing up for a massive showdown on November 1. It’s officially game on at the box office. We’ve got Ajay Devgn bringing back his cop swagger for the third time with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. On the other, Kartik Aaryan is ready to spook us out once more in the third part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Singham Again VS Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: Clash Begins!
According to a source quoted by Indian Express, “PVR Pictures, which is distributing Singham Again, has assigned over 60% of showings in PVR Inox theatres to that film. Additionally, some single-screen venues have been instructed to allocate all showtimes to Singham Again, allowing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 screenings only during the early morning slots.” Now, that’s one ghost nobody wants to see.
So, what does T-Series want? A 50-50 split! They’re asking for a fair division of screens so both movies get an equal shot at the box office.
Ajay Devgn’s Got History with CCI!
If this feels like Bollywood déjà vu, that’s because Ajay Devgn’s been here before. Back in 2012, he filed a similar complaint when Son of Sardaar clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Now, as history repeats itself, industry watchers are glued to the CCI’s next move.
Industry insider Girish Johar spilt the tea, saying clashes like these are just part of Bollywood’s festival season madness. “Ultimately, it comes down to demand and supply,” he said, hinting that whichever film wows the audience will win in the end.
Even Karan Johar chimed in, reminding everyone of Ajay’s past box-office battles. But he’s sceptical about the CCI making a move, especially with Singham Again boasting a budget. He says, ““It’s ironic how things have come full circle for Ajay Devgn. He once filed a complaint in a similar scenario with Son of Sardaar back in 2012.” Regarding the potential CCI intervention, Johar expressed doubts, “The last time something similar occurred in 2012, the CCI chose to let market dynamics play out. Even if the CCI intervenes, it must consider multiple factors, including the significantly higher budget of Singham Again compared to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.”
Cast of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
In Singham Again, we’ve got an all-star cast. It includes Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Tiger Shroff. That’s one power-packed squad!
