Atlee’s much-anticipated movie was originally scheduled to grace the silver screen on the 2nd of June, but now the makers have pulled a switcheroo and changed the official release date. The motive behind this change remains a mystery.

The domino effect of this decision has been felt throughout the Hindi film industry, with over six films now having to adjust their release dates to accommodate the rescheduling of this blockbuster flick. The film calendar has been thrown into disarray, causing ripples of excitement and anticipation among movie-goers everywhere.

Here are the new release dates for some of the most anticipated Indian films:

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke

Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, has now been rescheduled to release on the 2nd of June, 2023. This quirky romantic comedy directed by Laxman Utetkar promises to be a fun-filled ride for audiences, and the new release date might give it a clear window at the box office.

Maidaan

Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited sports drama, ‘Maidaan’, was initially slated to release on the 23rd of June, 2023. However, according to reports due to Jawan’s postponement, the film has been pushed back to the 7th or 8th of September, 2023. This move will give ‘Maidaan’ a better chance to shine at the box office, without being overshadowed by the other big releases. The official announcement is awaited.

Dream Girl 2

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ has seen not one, but two date changes. Initially scheduled to release on the 7th of July, 2023, the film was later rescheduled for the 25th of August, 2023. However, with ‘Jawan’ taking that slot, the makers of ‘Dream Girl 2’ will now have to look for a new release date. Despite the delay, fans of Ayushmann Khurrana are eagerly awaiting his return to the big screen.

Raula

‘Raula’, a film produced by Dharma Productions and starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk, was initially scheduled to release on the 25th of August, 2023. However, with ‘Jawan’ taking that date, the makers of ‘Raula’ will now have to find another date for the film’s release. The film promises to be a romantic drama and has generated a lot of buzz among fans.

Start Up

Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal’s film, tentatively titled ‘Start Up’, was initially announced for a September 2023 release. However, with the release of Jawan and Maidaan in close proximity, the makers of the film are now contemplating a new release date that will give the film enough breathing space and a better chance to succeed at the box office.

Fukrey 3

‘Fukrey 3’, the much-awaited comic caper from Excel Entertainment, was slated to release on the 7th of September, 2023. However, with the reshuffling of release dates, the film may undergo a change in its release date. Despite the uncertainty, fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting the film’s release.

In addition to these films, a few other small films are also expected to undergo changes in their release dates. With the Indian movie calendar undergoing a major reshuffle, fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favourite stars on the big screen.
