Sharjah’s cultural scene is gearing up for a family favourite as Pinocchio takes centre stage at Masrah Al Qasba later this month. Running from 29 to 31 August 2025, the stage production promises to delight audiences, young and old, with a story that has been cherished for generations.
The theatre, part of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority’s (Shurooq) flagship destination, continues to cement its reputation as a leading venue for cultural and family entertainment in the UAE.
A classic retold for UAE families
Presented in collaboration with H2 Productions, the play reimagines the story of the wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. Guided by the kindness of a Fairy, Pinocchio learns that courage, honesty, and compassion are the qualities that truly define a person.
The show combines colourful staging, elaborate costumes, and original music to create a visually striking performance. Designed for children yet rich enough for adults to enjoy, the production blends humour, life lessons, and engaging performances in equal measure.
A strong start to the theatre season
Earlier this year, Masrah Al Qasba opened its 2025 season with Cinderella, which played to packed houses and rave reviews. The success of that production has set the stage for Pinocchio, with organisers expecting strong interest from audiences across Sharjah, Dubai, and beyond.
