When quizzed about his outsider status in the industry, Shahid dropped some truth bombs, revealing, “Maybe I don’t have the qualities to be a campy person.” Did he just throw some shade? But wait, there’s more! Shahid opened up about his rocky road to stardom, reminiscing about his early days in Mumbai when he felt like the odd one out due to his Delhi roots and distinct accent.

Recalling those turbulent times, Shahid spilled, “I was the outsider because my accent was different, I had a Delhi accent. I was badly treated for a very long time.” Shahid didn’t let the haters dim his shine. This dude fought tooth and nail to carve his own path to success!

He straight-up slammed the whole ‘campy thing,’ advocating for creative collaboration without the drama. He shared, “I hate being bullied, and I didn’t have the confidence as a kid, as a teenager, and as a young adult. But now, if you try to bully me, I will bully you right back,” he declared, serving us some serious no-filter realness.

For the unversed, Shahid Kapoor’s parents are Pankaj Kapur, an acclaimed actor and filmmaker, and Neelima Azeem, an actress. Shahid Kapoor is their son from their marriage. Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem got divorced, and both remarried later.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in the film, ‘Deva,’ alongside Pooja Hegde. He also recently announced his film ‘Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues.’
