Shah Rukh Khan has skipped the signature Mannat wave this Eid, and no, it’s not a PR stunt. The King of Bollywood and his family have temporarily said goodbye to their beloved sea-facing palace because Mannat is getting a massive glow-up! The iconic home is under full-blown renovation mode, and while it’s getting ready, the family has shifted base to a plush Bandra duplex.
Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri Khan’s House: renovation Updates
Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan have relocated to an ultra-swanky duplex in Pali Hill, and this temporary move is anything but basic. The new crash pad? A high-end duplex in Puja Casa, owned by film producer Vashu Bhagnani. The rent? Just a casual Rs. 24 lakh a month.
Mannat 2.0 Incoming! Gauri Khan Takes Charge
While SRK’s busy juggling blockbuster scripts, Gauri Khan is doing what she’s best at (home decor) to bring Mannat 2.0 to life. She’s hands-on designing every inch of the remodel. If you know anything about Gauri’s design game, you know Mannat is going to be nothing short of architectural poetry.
She recently opened a new Gauri Khan Designs experience centre in Delhi, and with that, she’s bringing that same elite aesthetic into the Khan fortress.
What’s So Legendary About Mannat Anyway?
Let’s rewind for the newbies: Mannat isn’t just a house, it’s a literal landmark in Mumbai. Originally called Villa Vienna (built way back in 1914), the Bandstand beauty became King Khan’s throne in 2001. Since then, it’s become the selfie spot, tourist magnet, and SRK stan headquarters.
Spanning over 27,000 sq ft, Mannat is a six-storey wonderland with sea views, elevators, a private theatre, a gym, a library, a swimming pool, and interiors dripping in luxury, all tastefully curated by Gauri and architect Kaif Faquih. Rumour has it, two new floors are being added as part of the renovation, and we can’t wait to see the revamped version.
King Khan’s Castle: A Price Tag to Gasp Over
Mannat is reportedly valued at ?200 crore, and to be honest, it’s worth every penny. It’s not just bricks and cement; it’s emotion, legacy, and pure Bollywood magic. But until Mannat’s makeover is complete (give it about a year), the Khans will be sipping coffee in their luxe temporary home, still in Bandra, still fabulous.
Fans might miss their annual glimpse of SRK from the iconic Mannat balcony this Eid, but imagine the comeback once Mannat 2.0 is done. We’re already manifesting a house tour, complete with chandeliers, couture couches, and maybe even a mini red carpet. Because when you’re Shah Rukh Khan, everything needs to scream cinematic.
Stay tuned, because when Mannat reopens its gates, it’s going to break the internet all over again!
