Paid Parking Hours Announced In Sharjah For Ramadan 2023

UAE is all set to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with pomp and grandeur while keeping rules and regulations in place. And when it comes to the rules and regulations, Sharjah Municipality has announced the paid hours for Ramadan in Sharjah. Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, director-general of Sharjah Municipality, has announced that paid parking hours in the emirate will be from 8 AM to 12 AM from Saturday to Thursday.

Furthermore, the authorities also announced that public parking in Sharjah will be free for an hour during the five worship times throughout the holy month. Besides, residents can also avail of free parking all day long on Fridays except for parking zones flagged with blue sign boards. Sharjah authorities have also announced that 40 inspectors will be working in the emirate to ensure that rules and regulations are followed.

Inspectors will be on duty to control violations such as double-parking or blocking other cars. Besides parking, inspectors will also carry out timely inspections of public parks, food outlets, Ramadan tents and other areas to ensure that everyone is adhering to the guidelines.

Setting up unlicensed tents in front of homes and turning up the volume in public parks is not permitted, and people found doing so will be heavily fined. The authorities have also requested the public to report
violations and negative behaviour by calling the municipality’s 993 hotlines.
