A Hub for Adventure and Leisure
The centerpiece of the Mushrif Hub is the mountain bike track, which spans an impressive 50 kilometers. Divided into sections to accommodate all skill levels, the track offers dedicated areas for beginners, intermediates, and professionals. This extensive network makes Mushrif National Park a premier spot for mountain biking in Dubai.
Alongside the bike track, the hub also features a first-of-its-kind mountain walking trail. This trail stretches 9.7 kilometers and is designed to cater to both novice hikers and experienced trekkers. With multi-level paths, it provides a unique way to explore the park’s rugged terrain while promoting a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Enhanced Facilities for Visitors
Beyond outdoor activities, Mushrif Hub includes several amenities to enhance the visitor experience. Café and restaurant areas provide a place to relax, while additional facilities such as a chapel, changing rooms, and showers ensure comfort and convenience.
New lighting systems have also been installed, allowing the hub to operate into the evening. This upgrade not only extends visiting hours but also provides a safer environment for night-time activities.
A New Space for Sports and Community Events
The Mushrif Hub is not just a place for individual recreation—it is also set to become a hotspot for community events. Dubai Municipality plans to host several sports competitions, including cycling and running races. The hub will also be available for government and private organizations to arrange various sporting and recreational activities, making it a versatile space for both organized and spontaneous events.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the project’s community focus, stating:
“The Mushrif Hub initiative reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to enhancing the attractiveness and leadership of Dubai through the development of integrated, high-quality public spaces. This new destination brings together recreational, sporting, and cultural elements in a natural setting, offering a diverse and inclusive experience for residents and visitors.”
Part of a Broader Vision for Public Spaces
The launch of the Mushrif Hub aligns with Dubai Municipality’s broader efforts to upgrade public parks throughout the emirate. By creating multi-functional spaces that cater to a wide range of activities, the municipality aims to enhance the quality of life for residents while promoting a sense of community.
This new development supports Dubai’s vision of fostering an active and healthy lifestyle, reinforcing its reputation as a leading global city for both living and tourism.
