Mandarin Oriental to Open First Golf Resort in Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates

Dubai’s first dedicated Mandarin Oriental golf resort will offer branded residences, wellness, equestrian facilities and fine dining by 2030

Dubai is set to welcome a new landmark in luxury hospitality, with Mandarin Oriental announcing plans to open its first golf resort in Dubai. The project, scheduled to open in 2030, will form a part of Jumeirah Golf Estates – The Next Chapter.

The resort promises to combine championship golf, equestrian facilities and world-class wellness under one destination, creating a new benchmark for luxury living in the emirate.

Dubai’s first Mandarin Oriental golf resort

The development will be the group’s first dedicated golf resort globally and its second major presence in Dubai, following the upcoming opening of Mandarin Oriental at Wasl Tower.

Set against a backdrop of landscaped fairways, the property will provide direct access to an 18-hole championship course. The design is aimed at both international travellers and residents who value a balance of leisure, sport and exclusivity.

Laurent Kleitman, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental, described the resort as an important milestone for the brand. He highlighted its role in creating a lifestyle destination where golf, wellness and equestrian living come together in one community.

Spacious rooms and branded residences

The project will feature 121 rooms and suites designed with Mandarin Oriental’s signature elegance. Alongside the hotel, there will be 97 branded residences ranging from three to six-bedroom villas. Each residence will come with private amenities, appealing to families, investors and long-term residents seeking luxury living within a gated golf estate.

Developers have positioned the residences as part of a close-knit community, attracting individuals with a shared appreciation for refined living.

Wellness at the heart of the resort

A highlight of the destination will be The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, spanning more than 5,000 square metres. We’ll design it as a sanctuary of calm, offering:

  • Separate male and female swimming pools
  • An outdoor meditation zone
  • Barber and salon services
  • Three additional outdoor pools

The spa will offer a program of wellness-focused experiences, reflecting the city’s growing demand for holistic leisure and health-driven travel.

Equestrian excellence for residents and guests

Adding to its uniqueness, the resort will introduce a dedicated Equestrian Centre and Clubhouse spread across 7,000 square metres. The facilities will include indoor and outdoor arenas, training grounds, and scenic riding trails, alongside retail outlets and professional stabling services.

This integration of equestrian experiences within a luxury hospitality project places the development in line with Dubai’s tradition of celebrating horsemanship as part of its cultural and sporting identity.

Dining, events and gatherings

The property will feature six dining venues, including:

  • Two restaurants within the Golf Club
  • A Halfway Hut on the course
  • Mandarin Oriental’s signature dining experiences

For events, the resort will house a ballroom capable of hosting large-scale functions, alongside two outdoor venues ideal for weddings, corporate retreats, and private celebrations.

partnership with Wasl

The project is being delivered in partnership with Wasl Group, one of Dubai’s leading real estate and development companies. Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, Group CEO of Wasl, said the collaboration reflects a shared ambition to shape Dubai’s next chapter of integrated living.

The partnership builds on earlier success with Mandarin Oriental Jumeira and the upcoming Wasl Tower hotel, further strengthening Wasl’s role in bringing landmark projects to the city.

luxury living in Dubai

By 2030, the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah Golf Estates will stand as more than a resort; it will be a lifestyle destination where golf, wellness, fine dining and equestrian living intersect. For residents, it offers an opportunity to be part of a curated community, while for visitors, it represents a new level of hospitality in the UAE.

With its mix of sport, leisure and luxury, the development reinforces Dubai’s standing as a global city where innovation and elegance continue to define the future of living.
