In Bollywood, where love stories often play out like scripted dramas, there’s one couple that’s managed to stand out for all the right reasons – Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. In 2012, these two stars of the silver screen decided to embark on a journey together, tying the knot and setting the entertainment industry abuzz. What made their union even more intriguing was the age gap that separated them, a topic that had tongues wagging and headlines screaming.
Kareena Kapoor, known for her beauty, talent, and candid nature, recently opened up about the age difference between herself and Saif Ali Khan in an interview with Indian Express. Her response? A blend of wit, charm, and a healthy dose of perspective.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is happy about her age gap with husband
She said, “When has age ever mattered, he is hotter than ever. I am happy I am 10 years younger; he should be worried. No one would say he has turned 53. Age does not matter, what matters is respect and love and the fact that we have fun with each other.”
Further, she also stated, “We spend so much time discussing interfaith (relationships). So much energy, so much that they are 10 years apart. The important thing is to have fun. The most important thing between Saif and I is that we like each other and enjoy our company. How should it matter what faith he follows or what his age is that isn’t even a point of discussion.”
Love stories are sometimes overshadowed by societal norms and expectations, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have become a shining example of breaking free from the constraints of age and faith. Their love story reminds us all that when two hearts connect and find happiness in each other’s presence, the rest becomes background noise.
