Tuesday, June 19, marked a very special day for the director. Karan Johar was honoured at the British Parliament for his invaluable contribution to the global entertainment industry. Screaming only success, KJo is also celebrating his 25th anniversary in Indian cinema this year.
Karan Johar took to his Instagram and penned down a caption expressing on his special day. He wrote, “Today has been SUCH A SPECIAL day! I am fortunate and deeply grateful to be honoured at the British House of Parliament, in London by the esteemed Baroness Verma of Leicester. We celebrated my 25th year as a filmmaker in the film industry and I launched the teaser for #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani too! It’s one of those days where I pinch myself and realise that dreams do come true. Thank you everyone for the unabashed love you have shown me in my journey. And I promise you, there is more to come!”

The private event was hosted by Baroness Verma of Leicester with additional members of Parliament in attendance including Lord Desai, Baroness Uddin and Rt Hon Tanmanjeet Singh Desi MP as well as British Asian trailblazers, influencers and community leaders.
Karan Johar’s Grand comeback after 7 years
Along with getting honoured, Karan Johar dropped the highly anticipated teaser of Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and we are already loving it. The movie stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Boasting a stellar cast, veteran actors Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra also play pivotal roles in the film. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is slated to release in cinemas on 28th July, 2023.
