If there’s one thing all UAE-ites wish to have, it has to be the country’s coveted Golden Visa. While the UAE has a host of visas, the golden visa is a long-term residence visa which enables foreign talents to live, work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits. Investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes are among those eligible for the Golden visa.
But now, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has issued a decision to grant golden residency visas to imams, muezzins, muftis and Muslim preachers, scholars and researchers, who have worked in Dubai for over 20 years, in addition to a monetary reward on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
The new decision was made in recognition of their efforts and their societal role in promoting sound religious teachings, and positive values and morals. Imams, muezzins, preachers, muftis, and religious researchers who have completed 20 years of their work in Dubai are among those who received the coveted Golden Visa, according to a statement from the emirate’s media office.
In recognition of their efforts to advance religion, uphold public morals, and promote the tolerance that defines the UAE, they will also receive a “financial honor.” Click here to find out if you’re eligible for the UAE Golden Visa.
