Emirates is set to introduce a third daily service between Dubai and Mauritius, beginning 1 December 2025. The additional frequency aims to meet the rising travel demand to the island nation, especially during the busy winter travel season when holiday bookings from the UAE traditionally see a sharp rise.
The new flight will operate alongside Emirates’ current double-daily A380 services, bringing the total number of weekly flights to 21 and further expanding travel options for passengers heading to the Indian Ocean destination.
Boeing 777 to complement A380 services
The new service will be operated using a Boeing 777 aircraft, adding flexibility to Emirates’ fleet deployment on the route. While the current A380S offer over 15,000 seats weekly, the third flight will increase that number by over 2,500 additional seats, providing more availability for UAE residents planning getaways, honeymoons, or even long weekends.
This strategic addition gives travellers a broader choice in flight timings and booking options during peak periods, especially in December and beyond, when demand typically spikes due to school breaks and end-of-year holidays.
A popular escape for UAE residents
Mauritius continues to be one of the most sought-after destinations for travellers from Dubai, thanks to its blend of luxury resorts, crystal-clear lagoons, and rich culture. With travel confidence back at its peak, many UAE-based holidaymakers are once again turning to international leisure trips, and Emirates is aligning its schedule accordingly.
The convenience of direct daily services ensures that passengers from the UAE can enjoy more flexibility and smoother connections. For many, it means less planning stress and better access to prime travel dates.
Supports Mauritius’ tourism growth
Emirates’ decision also plays a crucial role in supporting the economic and tourism sectors of Mauritius. With more than 17,000 seats available each week between the two destinations after the new flight launches, the airline is not only serving UAE outbound tourism but also enabling greater inbound tourism to the island.
The additional frequency aligns with Emirates’ commitment to boosting connectivity to key destinations across the Indian Ocean, Africa, and beyond, while also supporting countries that depend heavily on tourism.
Winter timing adds convenience for travellers
Launching the third flight on 1 December 2025 is no coincidence. The date strategically aligns with the winter peak season in the UAE, a time when residents typically plan long-haul holidays to escape the city or celebrate the year-end. The extra frequency will make it easier for families, couples, and solo travellers to find suitable flight times that match their itineraries.
While the detailed flight timings are expected to be confirmed closer to launch, the new service is likely to be scheduled to complement existing departures, offering morning, afternoon, and evening options spread across the day.
Enhancing Emirates’ long-haul network
The additional Mauritius flight is part of Emirates’ broader network expansion strategy. Over the past year, the airline has steadily increased frequencies to several destinations across Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Adding a third daily flight to Mauritius is a continuation of that trend, reinforcing Emirates’ position as a leading long-haul carrier from the UAE.
By optimising routes with high leisure demand and offering multiple daily frequencies, Emirates is not just maintaining its market share—it’s strengthening it. This move is also expected to cater to the growing demand from connecting passengers flying into Dubai from Europe, the Middle East, and the GCC, and onward to the Indian Ocean.
Business class and premium options remain available
Travellers booking the new Boeing 777 flight can expect Emirates’ renowned cabin experience, which includes options across First, Business, and Economy Class. For premium travellers or honeymooners seeking a more luxurious in-flight experience, Emirates’ Business Class on the 777 offers lie-flat seats, gourmet meals, and exclusive lounge access.
This ensures consistency in service and experience, regardless of whether passengers choose the A380 or the 777 aircraft.
A boost for bilateral ties
Beyond tourism, the additional service symbolises the strengthening of economic and diplomatic relations between the UAE and Mauritius. Enhanced air connectivity often signals broader collaboration in sectors such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. With more frequent flights, opportunities for both inbound and outbound movement naturally grow, paving the way for closer ties between the two countries.
With travel patterns shifting back to full strength, Emirates’ introduction of a third daily Dubai–Mauritius flight is timely. The airline is responding to market trends while reinforcing its commitment to global connectivity. For travellers in the UAE, it’s another reason to start planning their next beach escape with more flight options and added convenience.
