Located halfway through Al Ain, around 80 kilometers away from Downtown Dubai, the Emirates Bio Farm is literally a paradise on earth. Calm, serene and lush, this spot instantly drifts you away from the city’s hustle, letting you unwind and relax amidst nature. And now, the farm has launched a special Iftar this Ramadan, where you can go on a journey that will be a treat to all your senses.
The UAE’s largest organic farm, specialises in producing over 50 types of certified organic vegetables and fruits as well as eggs through the use of sustainable farming practices. That also means that the dishes served here are made with the freshest organic products within 24 hours of being harvested. So, what can you expect on their Iftar menu?

The Iftar menu consists of traditional Ramadan dishes with a farmers twist such as pumpkin kibbeh and beetroot muttabal and other seasonal dishes prepared using their fresh, organic, local produce along with a locally sourced Bedouin style lamb dish, slow-cooked in an earthen oven for over five hours. The dining experience takes place in a well-lit gazebo. The menu is seasonal, so everything on the menu is the current season’s produce from the organic farm.

And, that’s not all! Before breaking fast, you will experience the farm through a tractor ride and tour. The one-hour journey right before Iftar will take you through the fields and greenhouses to learn about organic farming. The best bit- you’ll also get a chance to pick your own vegetables. The farm tour takes place an hour before sunset, perhaps the best time to soak in the mesmerising views of the open lands during the golden hour. Little ones can enjoy some farm time, in a playing area next to the chicken coop.
Emirates Bio Farm is open for Iftar meals every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Packages are priced at AED 180 for adults and AED 80 for kids below 12 years of age, available for booking through the farm’s official website.
The Iftar experience at the Emirates Bio Farm is more than just about food. This is a wholesome experience that draws you closer to nature and also educates you about the food you are going to consume. So, when are you going?
