Kangana Ranaut‘s much-anticipated film Emergency has found itself smack in the middle of a storm. The film is based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It was originally set to hit the screens on September 6, and now it’s postponed. The reason? The Censor Board is taking its sweet time, especially given the movie’s sensitive subject matter. And to make things even more dramatic, they’ve reportedly demanded some serious cuts to appease various communities. But if you think Kangana is about to roll over, think again!
Kangana ranaut Determined to Release the Uncut Version of ‘Emergency’
In true Kangana style, the queen of Bollywood isn’t taking this lightly. “An Emergency has been imposed on my film too,” she quipped, clearly frustrated by the delay. She didn’t mince words about her disappointment, either. She expressed lamenting the situation, “I’m quite disappointed by our country and whatever the circumstances are.”
Kangana made it crystal clear that she’s ready to battle it out in court if necessary. She’s not about to compromise on her film’s integrity or let the Censor Board dilute her narrative. “I’ll fight in court and release an uncut version,” she declared. Kangana is making it obvious that she won’t bow down to censorship.
