In a shocking turn of events, the ED swooped in to seize the assets of tinsel town’s favorite couple, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. According to reports flooding in, the ED slapped a freeze tag on properties valued at a jaw-dropping Rs 97.79 crore! This includes a lavish bungalow in Pune, a swanky Juhu flat registered under Shilpa’s name, and equity shares stashed away in Kundra’s portfolio. But that’s not all – the plot thickens as the case unravels a murky tale of cryptocurrency shenanigans involving Bitcoin.

This high-stakes drama traces back to FIRs lodged by none other than the Maharashtra Police and Delhi Police. It all centers around a company named Variable Tech Pte Ltd and a motley crew of individuals accused of orchestrating a multi-crore Bitcoin scam. Allegedly, they hoodwinked the public into investing a staggering Rs 6,600 crore in Bitcoin, promising hefty returns. However, behind the glitz and glamour, lurked a web of deceit and deception, with investors left high and dry.

Shilpa & Raj’s Legal Stand

Amidst the chaos, the couple’s legal eagle, Prashant Patil, swooped in to reassure the masses. His statement, dripping with confidence, vows to navigate the choppy legal waters and safeguard the duo’s rights. The statement read, “We shall follow the due process of law and take necessary steps as prescribed under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act to protect the liberty and property of my clients.”

It further reads, “On the face of it, there is no prima facie case made out against my clients Mr Raj Kundra and Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra. We have complete faith in the Honourable Judiciary. I believe when we make our fair representation before the Honourable Enforcement Directorate, even the investigation agencies may grant justice to us. We have faith in a fair investigation. We stand committed to cooperate with the authorities as and when required.”
