Dubai’s Jumeirah Mosque Gets A New Museum With Rare Artefacts & Vintage Items

The best part about Dubai is that the city is full of activities, and something new always keeps coming up. Be it the Paddleboard Dolphin experience at Aquavaneture, The Atlantis, or the record-breaking The Storm Coaster at Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai never disappoints. And with the weekend around the corner, if you are planning to experience new things in the emirate, we have just the perfect thing for you. Jumeirah Mosque, located at Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 1, has opened a Once Upon a Time museum. Entry to the museum is free, and here’s everything you must know about it.

Once Upon a Time museum located inside the mosque has a collection of rare artefacts and vintage items, carefully curated to transport you back in time. The museum aims to share the journey of the UAE through captivating stories, items and pictures of the 70s and 80s. In terms of timings, the museum is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm except for Friday.

Inaugurated in 1979, the iconic Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Dubai, and this exhibit will take you closer to UAE’s history, and we are sure you will be fascinated by what you say. In terms of tickets and entry, entry to the museum is free, and non-muslims are welcome to visit the museum without any prior bookings.

And if you are planning to do something more fun in Dubai, Aquaventure, Atlantis The Palm, has launched three new Dolphin activities. The first one is Dolphin Paddle which lets you paddle around the beautiful Dolphin Bay Lagoon. The ticket costs AED395 per person, and the activity occurs daily at 9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, 1:45 PM and 4:30 PM. Paddling alongside dolphins is a fun and unique experience, and you learn so much about their interesting behaviours.

The second activity to try at Dolphin Bay is Dolphin Kayaking which lets you kayak alongside the resident dolphins and watch them swim. And if you get really lucky, you might even see them right up to the edge of the Kayak. Costing AED495 per person, the Dolphin kayaking is available daily at 10 AM, 11 45 AM, 2 45 PM and 3-45 PM. Children aged eight and over can enjoy the experience, but they have to be accompanied by an adult.

The third activity launched at Dolphin Bay is Dolphin Sunrise which can only be availed by guests in one of the Atlantis hotels. Open to all ages, this unique experience costs AED250 per person and runs daily at 8 AM and 8:45 AM.
