Aims to Enhance Community Infrastructure and Connectivity

Dubai’s infrastructure will see a major upgrade as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved a Dh3.7 billion five-year plan to enhance internal road networks. The RTA initiative will add 634 kilometers of roads across 12 key areas, aligning with Dubai’s vision for urban growth and community well-being.

Dubai’s Strategic Five-Year Road Development Plan

This internal roads project, rolling out from 2025 to 2029, underscores Sheikh Mohammed’s commitment to elevating the quality of life across Dubai. The RTA has laid out 21 distinct projects to connect 12 regions experiencing rapid urbanization. These projects are set to alleviate traffic congestion, foster safer and more accessible neighborhoods, and support Dubai’s continued population growth. RTA Director-General Mattar Al Tayer highlighted that urbanization rates vary from 30% to 80%, prioritizing upgrades in Nad El Sheba 3 and Al Amardi, with new roads set for 2025.

Enhancing Connectivity for Growing Communities

The 2025 road launch in Nad El Sheba 3 and Al Amardi will support the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing project with 482 new units, reflecting Sheikh Mohammed’s vision. This will enhance access to homes, schools, parks, and commercial spaces, fostering community connectedness and enriching residents’ lives.

Supporting Dubai’s Growth with Sustainable Infrastructure

Sheikh Mohammed’s plan recognizes the need for long-term sustainability within Dubai’s infrastructure network. Construct roads with resilience in mind, incorporating smart traffic systems and sustainable construction materials to mitigate environmental impact. These features showcase how Dubai’s sustainable infrastructure sets a global standard.

The Bigger Picture: Dubai’s Infrastructural and Trade Goals
