Dubai has officially rebranded the Gov Games as Dubai Games

Dubai has officially rebranded the Gov Games as Dubai Games, marking a transformative step in its sporting journey. This evolution reflects Dubai’s vision to create a more inclusive, competitive, and internationally appealing event. The announcement was made under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as part of a broader mission to position the city as a global hub for sports and teamwork-based competitions.

A Fresh Beginning in February 2025

Dubai Games 2025 is set to kick off with an exciting schedule starting in February. The event begins with the Battle of the Juniors at Damac Hills on February 8, leading up to the main challenges from February 20 at Dubai Festival City. Participants will compete across five key categories:

  • Battle of the Government – Men
  • Battle of the Government – Women
  • Battle of the Community
  • Battle of the Cities
  • Battle of the Juniors

This year’s edition promises larger-scale participation and thrilling challenges, attracting teams from federal and local government sectors, community groups, young athletes, and international delegations.
