New Lane Restrictions Explained
Under the new regulations:
- Five or more lanes: Delivery riders are prohibited from using the two leftmost lanes.
- Three or four lanes: Delivery riders are restricted from using the leftmost lane.
- Two lanes or fewer: No lane restrictions for delivery motorcycles.

Penalties for Non-Compliance
To ensure adherence to the new rules, the following penalties will be enforced:
- First offense: AED 500 fine
- Second offense: AED 700 fine
- Third offense: Permit suspension
For riders exceeding 100 km/h on roads with speed limits of 100 km/h or above:
- First offense: AED 200 fine
- Second offense: AED 300 fine
- Third offense: AED 400 fine
These fines aim to deter unsafe riding practices and encourage adherence to traffic laws.
Implementation and Awareness Campaign
RTA and Dubai Police are collaborating to install clear signage indicating restricted lanes for delivery motorcycles.
