Dubai’s RTA has rolled out a new way to get around the city’s neighborhoods affordably and conveniently. The Bus on Demand service is now available in Al Rigga and Port Saeed, aiming to make local travel easier and cheaper.

Easy Booking Through the App
To hop on board, all you need is the ‘Dubai Bus On Demand’ app, which you can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It’s designed to let you book a mini-bus with just a few taps on your smartphone.
Dubai Bus On Demand App: How It Works
Using the app is straightforward. After signing up with your basic info like name, email, and mobile number, you can choose where you are and where you want to go within Al Rigga or Port Saeed. The app tells you when the mini-bus will arrive, how long the ride will take, and how much it will cost, so there are no surprises.
Cost-Effective Travel
For single rides within the zone, it’s Dh5, and if you’re going between zones, it’s Dh7. If you’re with friends or family, each additional passenger only adds Dh4 to the fare, which makes it a great option for group outings.
Free Rides for a Limited Time
To celebrate the launch, the Bus on Demand service is offering up to 10 free rides until July 14, 2024, for bookings made through the app. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try out this new way of getting around without paying a dime.

Coverage and Operating Hours
The service runs from early morning until late at night, making it convenient for both early birds and night owls:
- Monday to Thursday: 5am to midnight
- Friday: 5am to 1am the next day
- Saturday: 5am to midnight
- Sunday: 8am to midnight
