Dubai Announces Eid Al Adha Holiday For Public Sector

Eid Al Adha is just around the corner, and the Dubai Government has announced the holiday for public sector employees. The Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai has announced the Eid Al Adha and Arafat Day holidays for the public sector. As per the authorities, the holidays will be from 9 to 12 Dhu Al Hijjah. Read on for all the deets.

Public Sector Employees To Enjoy 6-Day Leaves For Eid Al Adha

As per the calculations, it is expected that the first day of the month of Dhu Al Hijja will be Monday, June 19th. And if the calculations are correct, June 27th will be the Day of Arafah, with Wednesday, June 28th being the first day of Eid Al Adha. With that said, public sector employees will enjoy a break from Tuesday, June 27th, to Friday, June 30th, with an additional two days of leave for the weekend, making it the longest holiday of the year.

As per the reports in Khaleej Times, the UAE Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Sunday, June 18 and post their meeting, the start date of Eid Al Adha 2023 will be determined.

Eid Al Adha also calls for a spectacular fireworks display in Dubai. And Dubai Parks & Resorts is all set to host a massive Eid Al Adha fireworks show. From June 27th to July 1st, guests not only get to enjoy exhilarating roller coasters and incredible indoor entertainment at Motiongate Dubai, Legoland and Neon Galaxy but also the return of the Dino Mania Parade at 8 PM in Riverland Dubai, followed by a stunning Eid Al Adha fireworks display at 9 PM.

Additionally, Annual Pass Holders enjoy the spectacular Eid Al Adha fireworks display from a designated and private family viewing location.
