As per the experts, quoted in Khaleej Times, many residents don’t have a visa stamp on their passports, and the only visa proof they have is their UAE Emirates ID, so it is better to carry it for all the visa-on-arrival destinations. Emirates ID Contains All The Details That You Need For Visa Stamping & Immigration In Other Countries

If you are a UAE resident travelling to visa-on-arrival destinations like Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Albania, and Kyrgyzstan; ensure to carry your ID. If you are visiting your home country, there are chances that you might be stopped for visa authentication, so for safety, carry your ID.

As per the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) in the UAE, Emirates IDs now serve as proof of residency, meaning the ID is an important document for visa stamping and immigration counters at various airports.

Several Indian travellers, in the past, have been stopped at the airport since their passports don’t have a visa stamp, and with the Eid holidays and travel rush, it is better to carry your ID since new officers and people at the airport might be unaware of the rules.
