18 Years Later: Akshay Kumar, Govinda & Paresh Rawal Starrer Bhagam Bhag 2 Is Back!
It’s been nearly two decades since Bhagam Bhag took us on a wild, chaotic adventure, and now, the cult comedy is finally getting a sequel! The makers have officially confirmed it, and it’s not just a sequel – it’s a promise of double the chaos, triple the fun, and unlimited laughs.
Let’s admit it – when you have Akshay Kumar’s impeccable timing, Govinda’s unmatched energy, and Paresh Rawal’s iconic one-liners, it’s a recipe for comedic gold. Directed by the legendary Priyadarshan, the original Bhagam Bhag still holds its spot in Bollywood’s hall of fame. And with this powerhouse trio returning, the sequel is set to be nothing short of epic.
Eighteen years is a long time, but good things take time, right. Sarita Ashwin Varde, the producer behind this project, says they waited for the perfect moment to bring the magic back. “Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge,” she shared. And when the timing felt just right, they hit the gas on this madcap sequel.
The rights for Bhagam Bhag 2 were scooped up by Roaring River Productions from Shemaroo Entertainment, and Sarita’s been busy cracking the script. ““We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter, fun and entertainment,” says Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo.
When Is the Laughter Showdown Happening?
The film is in the final stages of scripting and is all set to hit the floors by mid-2025. While the plot and cast details are still under wraps, the promise of Akshay, Govinda, and Paresh teaming up again is enough to keep us glued to our seats in anticipation.
