Beach, Cable car, waterfalls : all the New projects coming up in Hatta

UAE’s most-loved weekend spot, Hatta is about get bigger and better. A new phase of the Hatta development project, is going to introduce many new projects and initiatives, with cable cars, waterfalls and all-season beaches and more. On Tuesday, February 28, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved Phase II of Hatta Development Projects and Initiatives, which includes a total of 22 projects and initiatives.

List of all the upcoming hatta projects

1. Hatta Beach
The project aims to transform Hatta Beach into a year-round tourist destination with a range of leisure facilities, services, and pursuits.

2. Hatta Waterfalls
The announcement also mentions the construction of a waterfall close to the Hatta Dam. One of the most well-liked tourist destinations in the city is Hatta Dam, where people can go kayaking, hiking, biking, or camping.

3. Cable Car
In the upcoming stage of the development project, a 5.4 km cable car will also be installed at the Hatta Dam site. Visitors can ride the cable car from the dam to the peak of Umm Al Nusour, which is the highest point in Dubai.

4. Mountain tramway
A mountain tramway is being considered to increase access to Hatta Dam.

5. Hatta Dam’s public transportation station
To ensure the safe transportation of tourists to the area, a stand will also be built at the Hatta Dam.

6. Wadi Lim Lake restoration
The lake at the Lim Rest House, which is across from Wadi Hatta Park, will be restored as part of Phase II of the development.

7. New residential district
As part of the development, a new model residential district is being planned in addition to the building of 100 homes for UAE citizens.

8. Hiking Tracks
In some mountainous areas, the trails will be installed to allow hikers to take in the natural beauty of the city.

9. Attempts to feature in UNESCO’s World Heritage Site
The next phase, according to the announcement, will also focus on getting Hatta’s archaeological sites listed as World Heritage sites by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). There are many sites in Hatta, including the Hatta Falaj and the Hatta Tombs, which are from the Bronze and Iron Ages. The Falaj system, which has been in use since the 1800s, brings fresh water straight from the mountains into the center of Hatta Village, where it is used to irrigate date farms and local households. this plumbing system.

10. New mountain biking trails
Additionally, the development will feature top-notch mountain bike routes and rest zones.

11. A bicycle track
In addition to finalizing traffic management and landscaping plans, a cycling track connecting important Hatta tourist destinations will be constructed.

12. Fresh service facility
To meet the various needs of the neighborhood, a Hatta service center will be built.

In addition to the projects mentioned above, temporary eateries, facilities, walkways, and rest areas will be set up in order to increase investment opportunities and advance tourism in the region.
