The world of Bollywood is full of surprises, and release dates are no exception. While some films make it to the theatres as per the original schedule, others face unexpected delays or rescheduling due to various reasons such as technical difficulties or box office competition. The latest news in this regard is that two highly anticipated movies, ‘Yodha’ and ‘Dream Girl 2’, have had their release dates revised. Despite these setbacks, fans remain eager to see these movies.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s portrayal of Pooja in the hit film ‘Dream Girl’ charmed audiences four years ago, raking in a whopping Rs 200 crore at the box office. Encouraged by this phenomenal success, the actor began work on the sequel in 2022, aiming for a July 7, 2023 release date. However, in a recent post, Ayushmann announced that the release date has been rescheduled to August 25, 2023.
According to sources, the reason behind the delay is the extensive VFX work required to make Ayushmann’s dual roles as Pooja and Karam appear seamless and convincing. The filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the audience gets the best viewing experience possible.
Dream Girl 2 will feature Ayushmann opposite the talented Ananya Panday, while Raaj Shaandilyaa will once again take the reins as the director. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of this highly anticipated film, the team is working tirelessly to deliver a movie that will surpass all expectations once again.
