Before you assume that Karan Johar is directing it, hold on. “Jigra” will be produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and Alia’s own production house, Eternal Sunshine. For the unversed, Alia and Karan are joining hands yet again for their 12th collaboration. The movie will be directed by acclaimed director Vasan Bala. Alia, fresh from the success of her previous film, has dived into work on this project.
She shared some photos from the sets of ‘Jigra,’ and it’s safe to say that we are eagerly anticipating what she has in store for us. With every movie, she raises the bar, and just when you think you’ve seen her best, she delivers another performance that leaves us in awe. Expressing her excitement about the shoot, she shared, “And we’re rolling… (film camera) day one of bringing our ‘jigra’ to life… stay tuned as we bring a piece of our hearts… fingers and toes crossed for the journey ahead… love TEAM JIGRA.”
The first picture shows the Alia looking at a screen with ‘Jigra’ written on it. The remaining snapshots offer glimpses of Alia getting ready in the makeup room. One of the snaps even features her sister, Shaheen Bhatt.
“Jigra” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 27, 2024. After her stellar performance in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” fans are eagerly anticipating Alia Bhatt’s next masterpiece in “Jigra.”
