In a recent update, the authorities overseeing the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah have introduced some new rules for people visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif, a sacred area within the mosque. These rules are meant to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to pray peacefully.
Limited Time Inside Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif and Once a Year Visit
Now, visitors are only allowed to spend a maximum of 10 minutes inside Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif. Plus, they can only visit this special place once a year. If someone can’t make it for their visit, they need to cancel their permit early so someone else can take their spot. Otherwise, they’ll have to wait a whole year for another chance.

Booking Your Visit
To make sure everything runs smoothly, it’s important to confirm your appointment time when you book your permit. Arriving 15 minutes early is also a good idea. And don’t forget to confirm your presence within the premises 30 minutes before your appointment time.
Why the Changes?
These new rules are all about managing the number of people visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif. By limiting the time and frequency of visits, the authorities hope to maintain the peaceful and respectful atmosphere of the site.
Planning Your Visit
If you’re planning to visit this special place, make sure you’re aware of these new rules. By following them, you can help ensure that everyone has a chance to pray peacefully and respectfully at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
